Swing to Salute Golf Outing

Join us on the course for the Swing to Salute Golf Outing benefitting CHEP DC Vets, Thursday, June 13 at Marlton Golf Club in Upper Marlboro, MD. Enjoy a day out on the course with food, drinks, networking and of course, golf, to support our American Veterans in need.

CHEP DC Vets program seeks solutions for veterans who are challenged by homelessness, co-occurring medical and mental health disorders, and employment issues. CHEP DC Vet’s program provides basic needs, essential services and transitional housing to vulnerable veterans that lead to employed, self-supporting, productive citizens sustaining their recovery and living independently.

Sponsor a CHEP Veteran

When veterans enter the CHEP transitional housing program, they are provided with funds for groceries, bed and bath essentials, and a cell phone to use for employment and housing purposes, totaling an initial investment of $600, per CHEP veteran. In addition, once veterans move out of transitional housing, we often cover the cost of the security deposit, averaging $700-1000 for their independent living.

This equates to $1300 program investment per CHEP veteran, at a minimum.

Hire a Veteran

In order for our veterans to successfully transition to independent living, they need steady and secure employment. Employing a CHEP veteran allows them to gain the financial freedom they need for successful living.

Veterans joining your team come with an innate sense of teamwork, leadership and integrity. Their experience in our nation’s military has also provided them with an innovative outlook on technology and globalization, an accelerated learning curve and the ability to work under pressure.
