Give a Housewarming Gift Basket
When our veterans graduate from the CHEP Housing Program and move on to independent living, they are often starting from scratch. We want to give them a starter kit to make their road ahead a little easier! The Housewarming Baskets are complete with kitchen essentials including, dishes, pans, utensils and cups along with bathroom items such as a shower curtain and hand soap.
Join us in sending off our veterans with a starter kit for their new home by sponsoring a Housewarming Gift Basket.
Sponsor a CHEP Veteran
When veterans enter the CHEP transitional housing program, they are provided with funds for groceries, bed and bath essentials, and a cell phone to use for employment and housing purposes, totaling an initial investment of $600, per CHEP veteran. In addition, once veterans move out of transitional housing, we often cover the cost of the security deposit, averaging $700-1000 for their independent living.
This equates to $1300 program investment per CHEP veteran, at a minimum.
Housing Repair Assistance
The Perry Point Transitional Homes are in need of repair. It is our goal to provide our veterans with comfortable and safe housing, and in that effort, we must make consistent updates to these homes.
Among our list of housing repairs, we need to:
- Install new HVAC systems to provide our veterans with adequate heat and air conditioning
- Repair the roofs
- Repaint all homes
Our Perry Point veterans are in need of basic items:
- Furniture in good repair
- Cleaning Supplies
- Winter Supplies (Boots, Coats, Gloves, Hats)
- New and unused blankets, towels, etc.

In order for our veterans to successfully transition to independent living, they need steady and secure employment. Employing a CHEP veteran allows them to gain the financial freedom they need for successful living.
