The Harford County Commission for Women will host its Second Annual Women’s Conference in Bel Air, to recognize leading Harford County Women and celebrate Women’s History Month. The Commission hopes over 200 women will attend this function. The target audience is women of Harford County including young women currently in high school, working women, stay-at-home women, and senior citizens. Any woman in Harford County with an interest for knowledge is welcome to attend. The mission of the Commission, “To be the visible resource for Harford County women in their endeavor for social, political and economic equality” clearly defines an advocacy position, and an annual conference is one way to place the mission into practice. The conference will highlight several areas of concern for women in Harford County and throughout the state of Maryland by informing, advising, and reviewing topics of interest that relate to women’s financial health, medical health, physical safety and emotional health. “Harford County’s Healthy Women”will be the underlying theme for this year’s conference and the speakers will address four key areas of concern for the women of our County.
